Why Should You Check the Status of Your Qatar ID?

Step 1: Open the browser and enter “moi.gov.qa”, and then click on the resulting link to reach MOI home.

Step 2: Click on the “Inquiries” link in the navigation bar once on the homepage.

Step 3: Then find the “Other Inquiries” and click on it.

Step 4: Click on the “Official Documents” option offered under the inquiries.

Step 5: Enter your Qatar ID number in the space provided to verify your QID status. Please ensure that the number is correct because any incorrect number may cause errors or invalid results.

Step 6: Complete the CAPTCHA or any other security code displayed.

Step 7:  Once you fill in all your information, click the “Search” or “Submit” button. Within a couple of seconds, the system would give you that status in your Qatar ID with respect to your residency status, such as active and cancelled, along with other pertinent details regarding this and the date of its lapse.

Check Your Qatar ID Cancellation Status Using the Metrash2 App

If you have a mobile, you can check your status through the Metrash2 app. The Metrash2 application is a mobile app offered by the Ministry of Interior in Qatar. Many governmental services are also there for access.

Step 1: The Metrash2 app can be downloaded both on Android and iOS. Assuming that you haven’t downloaded it yet, you can get it on Google Play Store or Apple’s App Store.

Step 2: Open the application after you download it and log in by using your Metrash2 credentials. In case you have no account yet, you may register one inside the application.

Step 3: When logged in, there are many choices on the homepage of the app. Then, find “Wallet,” a section that has your personal information, such as Qatar ID information.

Step 4: Touch the icon “Wallet“.

Step 5: In the “Wallet” section, there will be a “Qatar ID” option. Upon tapping it, it will show you all the related information associated with your QID.

Step 6: Verify your QID status and validity to determine if it is cancelled or still active.

What to Do If Your Qatar ID is Canceled?
